Scoring is quite easy to achieve on Regular difficulty, so if you have any real experience with football titles, Professional difficulty should be the setting you choose for a fair challenge. It feels like headers are too easy to score with in PES 17, as all keepers seem to have trouble reading and reacting to them properly. This is especially true when crossing the ball, helping to make crossing into the box and heading an easy tactic to fall back on. The latest ball physics generally feel nice and weighty, with power required to really get the ball moving, but there are times when it can feel a bit floaty. Some teams will employ a high defensive line which is easier to exploit with through balls, while deeper set defences will try to crowd a player with the ball, stifling them and making it really tough to get into the box and score. Its too elaborate for me because I play on the pitch and don't follow the players as close to keep track, and I don't want to make big decisions when I'm just playing games :D I do enough of that in real life.You’ll have to adapt your play to counter each team you play against, as a blanket approach won’t work. PES has an indepth GM mode where you trade and check your finances. FIFA looks to have a promising story mode.

Those might be the ones that will sell one over the other for you. I really don't think there's a huge gap between them. PES is just so nice and has an amazing feel. The game is great but for some reason its not as rewarding or as fun as PES. I did like it and I thought the graphics and colors were amazing. I'd say its more sophisticated.įIFA on the other hand is really fun. This makes it incredibly fun but in a slightly different way than 2016. The game is slower paced and more tactical with advanced AI. PES 2017 is slightly upgraded, not a big leap.

PES 2016 was incredible! It was fast paced and exhilarating. Owned all PES games since PES2015 and a couple of FIFAs. This gen PES is back and coming out with a vengeance. But I jumped the bandwagon to FIFA during the PS3 gen. Been a fan since Intl Superstar Soccer 64.
